FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE: Chipolopolo Vs Fans Selected limited by Covid-19
SUN SPORTS writes @SunZambian FOOTBALL Association of Zambia (FAZ) General Secretary Adrian Kashala has cautioned fans that today’s clash between the national team and fans select side will adhere by Covid-19 guidelines. In a statment issued by FAZ Communications Manager Sydney Mungala, fans have been advised that while entry into Nkhoolma Stadium for the 15:00 kick-off may free, spectator numbers will be limited. “We are excited about the interest generated by the All Stars versus The Rest game. Fans will be admitted on a first come, first serve basis and gate minders will close once the required number is reached for safety and health reasons,” Kashala said. “Entry to the VIP section will be strictly by invitation as we are still observing Covid-19 guide lines.” Kashala has stressed that entry to the stadium will be on a first come first serve basis, given the limited capacity of Nkoloma Stadium. He has emphasized that fans will still be able to watch the match on ZNBC television should they not make it into Nkoloma Stadium. The match will also double as send-off fixture for the African Nations (CHAN) bound team. Zambia is in Group D alongside Namibia, Guinea and Tanzania. The team will participate in a Four Nations Tournament in Yaoundé before the CHAN kicks off where they will face Cameroon, Niger and Uganda. Last week FAZ and MTN Zambia hosted a competition where fans submitted potential line-ups to go up against the national team. The Fan’s Select Side is coached by Wedson Nyirenda assisted by Bilton Musonda and Stephen Mwansa while Linos Chalwe is the Team Manager
