AARON MUBANGA writes@SunZambian ZAMBIA Women’s national team captain Barbara Banda scored her 12th goal of the Chinese Taiping CFA Women’s Super League and set up two others to help Shanghai Shengli to a 3-1 win over Shandong Sports Lottery. The Steel Roses took the lead after 43 minutes as Shandong defender Wang Xuan failed to deal with a Barbara Banda pass and winger Yan Jinjin capitalized to score her second goal in as many matches to open the scores this morning in Kunming.Shandong leveled matters just nine minutes into the second half as Li Ying’s proved too Powerful for Shengli’s goal minder.Shengli however restored their lead just three minutes later as the Copper Queens skipper overpowered two defenders to get on the end of a ball from Tang Jaili and send a shot into the roof of the net, 2-1.Zhang Xin sealed the win 14 minutes to time as she got on the end of a pass from Barbara Banda and powered a low drive beyond the Shandong Sports Lottery goalkeeper.Earlier last week, The Copper Queens Captain scored her second hat-trick in China to guide Shanghai Shengli to a 7-0 bashing of Hebei China Fortune in a round 8 Chinese Taiping CFA Women’s League encounter played in Kunming. Barbara came into the match looking to register her name back on the score sheet having failed to do so over the weekend when Shengli suffered a 3-0 loss at the hands of Wuhan Jiangda.Shengli was also without Li Jiayue and Brazilian defender Camila who are serving 4 and 10 game suspensions respectively following the incidents recorded in the loss to Wuhan.– ZAMFOOT.
