Patson Daka transfer is just talk – Kawanu
MUKWIMA CHILALA writes @SunZambian With so much hype surrounding the eminent transfer of red hot Redbull Salzburg striker Patson Daka, Zambian Soccer fans may have to wait a little longer as nothing concrete has come up, the Sun Sport has learnt. There has been so much hype about Daka’s possible move to the English Premier League with West Ham United said to be the front runners for Daka’s signature. But his local manager Lee Kawanu speaking from Cameroon where he is part of the National Team delegation, has said that nothing concrete has come out regarding Daka’s transfer. Daka is said to have attracted interest from a number of English Premiership teams following his year impressive 2019/2020 season in which he scored 27 goals. In the current campaign, he has already netted 15 goals and assisted five times for the Austrian champions. But Kawanu says nothing concrete has come up yet and that the club will most likely only consider moves for the player  in June. He, however, expressed optimism that the player would definitely be moving to the English Premiership league owing to the many quarries that the players had received. West Ham are on the market for a new striker having following the departure of Sebastien Haller to for Ajax last week. Daka’s market value is estimated at around £25m.
