ANDREW MUKOMA writes@SunZambianTHE Livingstone City Council has turned the outside part of the Maramba Stadium into a dump site.The stadium which is home ground for Livingstone City Council sponsored outfit Livingstone Pirates Football Club is littered refuse at the main entrance.Initially, the area which was being used as dump site near the Maramba Market along the Maramba Libuyu road had been given out as plots.This has led to the shifting of the dump site near the boundary wall fence of the stadium.A check by The Sun at Maramba Stadium found two big metal litter bins just outside the stadium.Those found throwing garbage on site said that the decision to make the area into dump site was purely a baby of the local authority.They disclosed that the two metal refuse bins were taken to the site by the local authority and has nothing to do with the marketeers.Efforts to get a comment from the Local authority’s public relations unit proved futile by press time.
