A 40-YEAR-OLD truck driver has been found dead in his truck in unclear circumstances in Kalumbila district.
The driver was discovered dead around 07:00 hours on Sunday in the truck cabin without any physical injuries on his body North-western province Commissioner of Police, Elias Chushi , who confirmed the incident, identified the deceased as Peter Matoka of Kyawama compound in Solwezi.
“The deceased was found dead in a BHL truck registration No BCB 4119 by his colleague at Manyama trading centre in Kalumbila district,” he said.
He said police visited the scene and inspected it in the company of health personnel and transported the body to Solwezi General Hospital mortuary.“Post-mortem is yet to be done to determine what caused his death,” Mr Chushi said.
The truck was empty at the time the body was discovered as the contents could have been delivered to the mine a day before.
