An investigation into the contamination of water in mtendere has revealed that 26 houses have so far been affected.
And Water Development, Sanitation and Environmental Protection Minister Jonas Chanda says investigation are on-going to establish the source of the problem and remedial action is being taken.
Dr Chanda has since appealed to affected residents to exercise patience and cooperate with the utility water as they conclude their investigations.

Meanwhile Lusaka water supply and sanitation company assistant Public relations officer Nshamba Muzungu says water contamination being experienced in some parts of the city maybe result of vandalism and illegal connections.
Mr. Muzungu says due to the poor sanitary conditions and vandalism this leading to water getting contaminated.
