BARELY one week after a Grade Nine pupil was gruesomely murdered by her 32-year-old boyfriend in Lusaka, another woman has been murdered by her boyfriend in the capital city.
Police in Lusaka have arrested Don Bosco Katongo, 23, of Lusaka’s Middle West area for the alleged murder of Nancy Muchindu, aged 19, also of Middle West believed to be his girlfriend.
Police spokesperson Esther Katongo said Katongo is believed to have murdered Muchindu between April 26, 2020 and April 27, 2020 at 06:00 hours in Green Roof area.
She said the body of the victim was found lying in a one room house on a mattress with a swollen face.
“Preliminary investigations have indicated that the deceased was assaulted by her boyfriend, who is now the suspect in the case of murder after she was found in the neighborhood with another man.
“The body has since been taken to UTH [University Teaching Hospital] mortuary awaiting postmortem,” she said.
