By JULIET MAKWAMA THE Zambia Association of Gynaecologists and Obstetricians (ZAGO) is optimistic that Zambia will achieve its objectives of reducing maternal deaths which currently stand at 278 for every 1, 000 births. ZAGO Monitoring and Evaluation Officer Benedictus Mangala says the health environment is conducive to ensure there is such a reduction. Mr Mangala said this during a media sensitisation workshop on sexual reproductive and health rights in Kabwe. And Mr Mangala has noted that journalists play a vital role towards reducing the myths and misconceptions surrounding abortion.
