MATHEWS NDANDULA writes@SunZambianTHE Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) president Andrew Kamanga and his executive committee have congratulated the four teams that have qualified for promotion to the 2020/2021 FAZ/Eden University National Division One league.In his congratulatory message to the teams, that won qualification, Kamanga urged the teams to work hard to adapt to the arduous demands of nation division one football.“On behalf of my executive committee, I wish to congratulate the four teams that have qualified to the FAZ/Eden University National Division One League. It was not easy to make it in a pool of 10 teams but you pulled through which puts you in a good in a privileged club in our game,” Kamanga said.In a statement issued by FAZ Communications Manager Sydney Mungala, the football boss also urged the teams that did not make it to keep working hard.“To the six teams, I salute you for having put up a gallant fight and wish you the best as you wait for your next opportunity.”In a statement to the media, Kamanga also congratulated everyone involved in organizing the play-offs that were staged for the first time.“A big congratulations to everyone involved at secretariat who were in charge of operations of this tournament,” he said.The four teams that qualified are City of Lusaka (Lusaka), Kashikishi Warriors (Luapula), Konkola Blades (Copperbelt) and Livingstone Pirates (Southern).Teams were divided two groups of five with games played on a round robin basis.Kamanga has also said that FAZ is working the background to ensure that everything possible is done administratively prior to the commencement of the 2020/2021 season.The 2020/2021 season is pencilled for commencement on October 24 with the Charity Shield pitting Super League champions Nkana and FAZ/Eden University National Division One champions Indeni.
