HH PLEADS FOR VOTES
By JULIET MAKWAMA United Party for National Development ( UPND) Leader Hakainde Hichilema says Zambia is on the verge of making the history that was made in 1991. Over 7 million Zambian electorates will tomorrow be voting for their preferred presidential, parliamentary, mayoral and local government candidates in the general elections.Speaking during a media conference this morning ahead of tomorrow’s polls, Hichilema said Zambians are looking forward to having a functional health system and eased challenges in education opportunities among other issues.Hichilema said achieving a peaceful leadership transition from one party to another through collective effort was imminent after tomorrow’s elections. Hichilema says this history will be made by the voters who he says know what they want. And Hichilema says the unfair restrictions encountered during campaigns on the pretext of covid-19 were history. He however challenged the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) to deliver a credible election.Meanwhile Hichilema said Zambians must not fear the men and women in uniform but turn out in numbers to vote.Courtesy of Mellenium Radio
