The outbreak of the global pandemic (Covid-19) has not deterred the Patriotic Front (PF) Government from delivering Development across the country, PF Chongwe Parliamentary candidate Japhen Mwakalombe has said.
And Mr Mwakalombe has cautioned Zambians against experimenting with Governance issues.
Addressing Kasisi and Kampasa residents yesterday, Mr Mwakalombe said despite the hardships brought about by the coronavirus, the PF had scored a lot of achievements countrywide.
Mr Mwakalombe, who was also Provincial Minister for Copperbelt said the PF under President Edgar Lungu had managed to reach out to all Zambians amidst the disease, saying the more reason Zambians should vote for the party again in the August 12 polls.
“Apart from empowering Zambians with different initiatives introduced by our Government under President Edgar Chagwa Lungu, we have also scored a number of positive achievements as evidenced by the various Developmental projects too numerous to list,” Mr Mwakalombe said.
“We want to continue with what we have started and that is why we are saying that President Lungu and the entire leadership should bounce back so that we can continue serving the Zambian people,” he said.
Mr Mwakalombe added that he was the best candidate for Chongwe and called on the electorates to rally behind him and all other candidates contesting for various positions.
“You do not change Governments anyhow so ensure that you vote for the PF on 12 August for continued development,” Mr Mwakalombe added.
Meanwhile, Chongwe Mayoral Candidate Evans Mhambi said his desire was to serve the people of Chongwe.
“And that is why I have offered myself to you as mayor and I ask for your votes in this election because we want to continue uplifting the living standards of not only the people of Chongwe but Zambians at large,” Mr Mhambi said.
Others present were Kasis aspiring Councillor Phillip Chikasa and former Chinkuli Ward aspiring Councillor Saul Simukulwa among others.
