NO CHANCE FOR ‘DISORGANISED’ UPND, SAYS KUNGO
By JACKSON MAPAPAYI THE UPND as an organization of disorganised people whose time on the political scene has come to an end, PF North-western Province Chairperson Jackson Kungo has said. Mr Kungo said in an interview that the UPND leaders had exposed themselves as a clueless organization which had wasted the time of the people of North-western Province by failing to lobby for development. He said President Lungu and PF had delivered development to North-western Province despite not receiving votes in the 2016 general election. Mr Kungo stated that UPND Leader Hakainde Hichilema had forbidden his Members of Parliament, Council Chairpersons and councillors from participating in any Government programme including lobbying for development.  “And that is why some councilors in the province decided to resign because they realised that they were a disservice the people they were representing,” Mr Kungo said. Mr Kungo said PF had made major inroads in the region such that there was no way the province could logically be referred to as a UPND stronghold. “That is why it is not surprising that the People of North Western Province have made the decision to vote for the Patriotic Front and President Lungu in the Thursday’s general elections so that they could be properly represented by leaders who would make it possible for them to partake of the national cake,” he said. He urged the people in the province to turn up in large numbers to cast a vote for President Lungu and all PF candidates so that MPs and Council Chairpersons could find it easy to approach Government for development in the area.
