A MAN of Livingstone had his two legs cut off while the other sustained burns on his hands after a gas cylinder for the refrigerator they were working on exploded.Acting Police Spokesperson, Danny Mwale said Mwila Kamangu aged 63, owner of MKAY Refrigeration and Conditioning Company had his both legs cut off on the spot.Mr Mwale said Danken Mwale aged 25, an Assistant Technician of house number DNB 17 Dambwa Central sustained burns on both hands.He said the incident happened on Wednesday around 14:45 hours at plot number 197 Mosi-o-tunya road in Livingstone.Mr Mwale said police and fire brigade who rushed to the scene found blood stains on the ground with several metal pieces of the exploded gas cylinder.“Brief facts are that the two technicians were hired to work on fridges which were not functioning. During the service of the fridges, one of the big gas cylinder exploded causing serious injuries to the two,” he said in a statement.Mr Mwale said the two were currently admitted to Livingstone Central Hospital where they were receiving treatment.He said the cause of the explosion of the gas cylinder was yet to be established.
