OVER 4, 500 farmers in Mufumbwe district have deposited money in their Farmer Input Support Programme (FISP).
This is out of 5, 500 beneficiaries who are under the programme, says Mufumbwe District Commissioner(DC), Haggai Kalota.
Mr Kalota said the high number of farmers making their deposits was because of the timely delivery of inputs.
“So far, 4, 721 have made their deposits,” he when Nyimba Investments officials led by Head Sales and Marketing Willings Mulendema paid a courtesy call on him yesterday.
Mr Kalota had since praised President Edgar Lungu for the timely delivery of inputs for the 2021/22 farming season.
And Mufumbwe SeniorAgriculture Officer Boswell Mweemba said he was confident that the majority of athe beneficiaries would be able to make their deposit before the end of themonth.
