By ANDREW MUKOMALIVINGSTONE has recorded high compliance levels among learners across primary and secondary schools, except social distancing which is proving a challenge.This follows the reopening of examination classes yesterday.District Education Board Secretary, Aiden Kambunga, said inspections conducted in institutions showed that pupils were complying with health guidelines while institutions had prepared water buckets, sanitisers, soap and face masks.Mr Kambunga says that pupils were wearing face masks and adhering to other medical requirements.However, Mr Kambunga said that social distancing needed to be emphasized as some pupils could not manage.Mr Kambunga told the Daily Nation in Livingstone that social distancing was a challenge among the young ones.“Our schools have opened and so far so good. The compliance levels are perfect, It is just the social distancing where we are still sensitizing the learners especially the young ones.“We are advising them to say even if they your friends, this time around, you need maintain some distance… otherwise, all is well,” Mr Kambunga said.
