Reluctance by millers to reduce mealie meal prices disappointing – CUTS
Consumer Unity and Trust Society CUTS says it is disappointing that millers have continued selling mealie meal at a higher price despite having bought maize at a low price. CUTS Centre Coordinator, Chennai Mukumba has questioned why millers are reluctant to reduce the price of the commodity. Ms. Mukumba has called on government to intervene in order to ensure that mealie meal prices are reduced as there is need to ensure that consumers benefit from low prices of the commodity.
