Choma Farmer appears in Court for burglary
MULENGA MUSONDA writes @SunZambian A-28-years-old peasant farmer has been arraigned to the Choma Magistrates Court on allegations of burglarizing a house and looting assorted foods and clothes. Castrol Twaambo is appearing before principal resident magistrate, Idah Mupemo charged with Burglary and Theft contrary to the Laws of Zambia. Allegations are that Twaambo broke and entered the house of Gregory Mulenga with intent to steal, and stole therein four pairs of trousers, six shirts and assorted foodstuffs all valued at K1, 053 the property of the named Mulenga. The alleged burglary is said to have occurred on December 8, 2020 in Choma District of Southern Province. When he was called to take plea before Court, Twaambo distanced himself from the allegations. Magistrate Mupemo recorded a plea of not guilty and adjourned the matter to January 6, 2021 for commencement of trial. Twaambo remained in custody.
