Real Nakonde seek Eden League promotion
By MICHAEL MIYOBA AFTER winning the FAZ Provincial League in Muchinga, Real Nakonde will seek to win promotion to the Eden Univesity National Division One League when they compete in Group A of the National Division One play offs. Real Nakonde who were demoted from the FAZ Super League in 2017 will compete with Young Riders from Central Province, Sinazongwe United from Southen Provincve,  Kalumbila Quatro from North-Western Province and Jamulo FC representing Copperbelt Province. Real Nakonde will begin the play offs with a fixture against Kalumbila Quatro at Margaret Mwanakatwe Stadium in Lusaka’s Bauleni Township before facing Young Raiders in their second game. Nakonde will face Sinazongwe United on Wednesday and will wrap up their group A fixtures against Jamulo on Friday. In group B of the National Division One play offs, Malalo Police, ZNS Luamfumu, Young Green Buffaloes,  Sinda United and Luena Buffaloes representing Western Province will battle it out for the two slots required to win promotion to Division one. Games will be played on a round robin basis at Crested Crane Grounds and the Margaret Mwanakatwe Stadium in Bauleni with the top two from each group qualifying to the National Division One League. Meanwhile, then Football Association of Zambia (FAZ_ has warned against referee abuse during the play Division One play offs. In a statement the association noted that referee abuse will not be tolerated during the tournament. FAZ said referee abuse by players, coach, or officials shall immediately incur charges and referred to the Playoff Disciplinary Committee for sanction. The association noted that a Playoff Disciplinary Committee consisting of three people appointed by FAZ shall sit to determine any disputes referred to it for arbitration. According to FAZ, the disciplinary code as amended by the rules of the play offs shall be in force and clubs will be required to submit any disputes in writing and all such complaints must be submitted together with a payment of K 150 as a complaint fee within an hour of the conclusion of the match to be valid. The Playoff Disciplinary Committee shall decide all cases referred to by midnight of the day of filing the dispute and the decisions of the Playoff Disciplinary Committee shall be final and not subject to Appeal.
