By SENIYA BANDA THE Zambia National Farmers Union (ZNFU) has called for the removal of the 10 percent export tax on maize grain following the increased maize production. ZNFU President Jervis Zimba said Government should revoke the statutory instrument that deters maize export by removing the 10 percent export tax on maize. There is need to ensure that the local maize market was made attractive by removing tax barriers, Mr Zimba said in a statement issued by ZNFU media liaison officer Kelvin Kalayi Meanwhile, Mr Zimba called for the need to ensure that the exportation of the commodity benefits all stakeholders.
