Red Arrows soar above Covid-19 clouds
MUKWIMA CHILALA writes WE have continued to meet our obligations to all the players despite the suspension of games due to the COVID-19 pandemic as all the players are paid their dues, Red Arrows Rugby Club team Manager Major Evans Kabaso has said. And Kabaso said that the club had continued taking care of its players as those that were employed by the Zambia Air Force had been receiving their dues while the non -uniformed officers had also continued to get paid by the team. He said that training had not been taking place but that the technical bench hadcontinued monitoring the player individual training via technology. He said that the team needs, in terms of logistics, were being met despite the challenges under the current partial lock down. “It’s a bit of a challenge because training is difficult but we are just doing online monitoring of personal training by players,” Kabaso said. And he expressed confidence that the team was in shape and would be ready to play if the season was to resume. Red Arrows are current Zambia Rugby Union champions having returned the title last season, winning it for the eighth time in a row. The Sun
