AARON MUBANGA and MUTALE MBEBETA write@SunZambianTHE Zambia Women’s national team duo of Misozi Zulu and Grace Chanda have penned professional deals with Israeli top side Maccabi Holon the ZamFoot Crew understands.Holon is a six-time Israeli Ligat Al Women’s League Champion and has won the Israeli State Cup nine times. Zulu and Chanda become the third and fourth Copper Queens stars in Isreal joining Mary Mwakapila and Hazel Nali who are both on the books of Hapoel Beershe’eva.This is the second European stint for Misozi Zulu who had a short six months stay in Kazakhstan on the books of Europe’s 12th ranked side BIIk Kazyugurt and become the first Zambian player to score in the UEFA Women’s Champions League.Grace Chanda on the other hand will be making her first European stint following a remarkable Olympics Qualification tournament with the Copper Queens netting eight times to emerge as the top goal scorer.Chanda is known for her prolific nature having netted 86 times for Zesco United ladies in 2018 in just 26 games.Zambia now has six players in Israel with Lameck Banda and Ngosa Sunzu on the men’s side being on the books of Maccabi Netanya and Beitar Tel Aviv Bat Yam.Zambian players always had success in Israel starting with Mayuka who then went to Switzerland and then England. Rodger Kola was also in Israel before he was sold to Genk in Belgium.Russian based Evans Kangwa and 2012 AFCON winner Nathan Sinkala also had successful stints in Israel.
