RABECCA BANDA writes A LUSAKA businessman who allegedly stole car parts worth K50, 000 from his client’s vehicle has failed to appear before the Magistrates Court for trial. Cliff Simbule, 50, of Chilenje Township is alleged to have stolen car parts from Chrisantius Changwereza’s car between 16 July 2019 and 13 November 2019. Simbule is accused of stealing one motor vehicle muffler, a computer box, key set, radiator, number plate, saddle, inside black grill, burner heat cooler and other parts all worth K50,000. His surety Sylvia Simbule told magistrate Betty Malupenga that Cliff Simbule was sick and at the hospital. She said he wasn’t able to come to court because of the same reason. When asked to produce documents of proof of his illness, Ms. Simbule said she had no documents because Simbule had gone to the hospital the previous morning. The court adjourned the matter to June 26 for commencement of trial and his police bond is extended. The Sun
