CIVIL SERVANTS CAUTIONED
RUFUNSA District Commissioner, Judith Chama has implored civil servants to support the new government and implement its policies to enhance development in the district. Speaking during a briefing yesterday, Ms Chama said now that the people have voted and there is now a new government, Public Service workers should continue implementing the new government policies and programmes diligently. She added that as civil servants, officers will be required to always bear in mind that they work and support the government in power which has the mandate to serve the people of Zambia. Ms Chama also urged the civil servants to continue preaching peace and unity even after the elections, in order for development to be enhanced in the country. Meanwhile, the situation in Rufunsa is calm and business has continued as usual. A check at Rufunsa Market found marketeers conducting their business peacefully with the UPND cadres chanting their slogan peacefully. Rufunsa which has one Constituency saw the UPND scooping the Parliamentary seat, the Council Chairperson seat and seven Local Government seats.
