Zamtel’s Green Thursday to give relief
BUUMBA CHIMBULU writes @SunZambian ZAMTEL has launch of Green Thursday, a weekly customer reward programme where it will cut prices on selected products and services every Thursday of the week. Commencing today, Green Thursday will offer Zamtel customers a chance to enjoy the latest Unlimited Freedom packages at a 50 percent discount. Green Thursday will carry different weekly offers aimed at appreciating customer loyalty with varied price cuts on popular Zamtel products and services. Announcing the initiative, Zamtel Chief Executive Officer, Sydney Mupeta, said Green Thursday was another innovative way that the Company was giving back to its customers especially during this period of Christmas. Mr Mupeta said Green Thursday was planned to be a permanent feature that he hoped would excite existing and potential customers. “The timing for the launch of this great initiative could not have been any better. We are in the festive period and as Zamtel, we want to share the spirit of Christmas by giving our customers amazing price reductions every Thursday. “The good part is that Green Thursday is going beyond the holiday season. This program will become a permanent feature on our bouquet of products and services,” Mr Mupeta said in a statement yesterday. Mr Mupeta hoped that Green Thursday would translate into huge savings for Zamtel customers while at the same time helping to drive greater inclusion. “We know that most of our consumers are under increasing financial pressure arising from the Covid-19 pandemic. “We hope that Green Thursday will help them manage their connectivity-related costs and we will continue to do everything possible to keep our customers connected,” He said.
