LUCY PHIRI writes A 23-YEAR-OLD man of Kafue has been dragged to court for breaking into a building and stealing 72 pairs of shoes all valued at K10,080 without lawful authority. Appearing in the Kafue magistrate court before magistrate Moffat Phiri was Nathan Simusokwe of Zambia compound accused of breaking into a building of Ivy Mumba. Particulars of the offence, it is alleged that on March 13, Simusokweacting with others did break into the building of Ivy Mumba and stole shoes worthy K10,080 without lawful authority. Magistrate: Did you steal the pairs of shoes? Simusokwe: Yes I did Magistrate: Were you allowed by the owner? Simusokwe: No Magistrate: What did you wanted to do with the shoes? Simusokwe: I wanted to use them. Magistrate: Using all the 72 pairs? Simusokwe: I only got eight pairs, because we shared with my friends. I did not get all the 72 pairs.
