MULENGA MUSONDA writes@SunZambianA 26 years old General Worker has been dragged to the Choma Magistrates Court by his White Farmer Boss for stealing one Bag of Fertiliser.In this matter, James Mweemba of Sibanyati settlements in Choma has been charged with Theft by Servant Contrary to the Laws of Zambia.Particulars of the offence are that Mweemba being an employee of Pierce Council stole 1×50kg bag of fertiliser valued at k500 that came in his possession by virtue of his employment to the named Council.When the matter came up for plea before Magistrate Muyambango Munukayumbwa, the accused person without any coercion whatsoever admitted the charge against him compelling the Court to record a plea of guilty.Court: Have you understood the charge?Mweemba: Yes.Court: And how do you plead?Mweemba: I admit.Court: Did you take away the Bag of Fertiliser?Mweemba: Yes.Court: Who was the owner?Mweemba:Mr Pierce.Court: Your employer?Mweemba: Yes.Court: Did he allow you to take it?Mweemba: No.Court: Did you have any claim of right?Mweemba: No.Court: Court records a plea of guilty.Following a plea of guilty, the Court adjourned the matter to November 10 after Public Prosecutor Coillard Sikwalulwa applied for an adjournment to have the Facts prepared.Mweemba was remanded in custody.
