MALAWI national team coach Meck Mwase says his players are in Zambia to learn and give the Chipolopolo a good game during tomorrow’s international friendly match.Speaking upon arrival at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport in Lusaka yesterday, Mwase said the Flames who regrouped two weeks ago is aiming to utilise the friendly match which is the first in line since international football was suspended due to the Covid-19 outbreak.“Firstly, I would like to express my gratitude to the Football Association of Zambia for always accepting our request to play the friendly. We are looking forward to a good friendly game, we always learn something when we play Zambia and we wish to have a very good game against Zambia,” said Mwase.Mwase also explained the inclusion of seven foreign based players being led by South African based Orlando Pirates striker Gabadinho Mhango in the 21-man squad.“We are playing the group stages in the AfCON (qualifiers) against Burkina Faso so if we play Zambia, it will give us very good preparations as you know that football was suspended and also in using the FIFA calendar, we thought of bringing our best squad to play Zambia,” he said. The match kicks off at 15:00 hours and will be played behind closed doors in respect to the Covid-19 health protocols set by the Ministry of Health. – FAZ MEDIA The Sun
