Two juveniles have drowned in a carnal in Kabwe District of Central Province.
Confirming the development to ZANIS in Kabwe this morning, Central Province Commissioner of Police, Chola Katanga, identified the two minors as Evaristo Mambwe aged eight and Phillip Phiri aged six, all of Waya compound.
Commissioner Katanga said 56-year-old Stanley Mambwe , reported to the police that the incident occurred yesterday around 15: 00 hours in Waya Compound of Kabwe.
“Police received a report of sudden and unnatural death from male, Stanley Mambwe aged, 56, that his son, male juvenile, Evaristo Mambwe aged 8 and his grandson, male juvenile, Phillip Phiri aged 6 died after drowning in a carnal in Waya Compound of Kabwe,” Mr Katanga said.
The victims met their fate when they went to swim at Waya carnal drainage around 14: 30 hours. The deceased’s bodies have since been retrieved and deposited at Kabwe central Hospital Mortuary awaiting postmortem and burial.
