TAZAMA donates towards Covid-19 fight
@SunZambian TANZANIA-ZAMBIA Mafuta Pipeline (TAZAMA) has donated K40,000 worth of assorted items to Isoka District hospital towards the fight against Covid-19. The items donated include five infrared gun thermometers, 5 boxes of hand sanitisers, 5 boxes of hand wash soap, 5 containers of disinfectant, five boxes of surgical masks and 5 sprayers. TAZAMA pipeline senior public relations officer Kenneth Kalunga said the donation was aimed at complementing government’s efforts in the fight against Covid-19. “As an institution we have joined this fight against Covid-19 by making donations to districts through which our pipelines have pass, which includes , Masaiti, Mkushi, Lavushimanda, Mpika, Shiwang’andu, Chinsali, Isoka and Nakonde,”  Mr Kalunga said. He said TAZAMA had so far made a donation valued over K1 million to all the eight districts along the pipeline. Mr Kalungu said the TAZAMA had also donated mattresses, beds and blankets all valued at K103, 000 to Covid-19 centre in Masaiti district on the Copperbelt. Mr Kalungu said TAZAMA had also donated to traditional leaders along the pipeline. Receiving the donation in Isoka on behalf of Isoka District hospital, Muchinga Province Minister Malozo Sichone said thanked TAZAMA for the donation. He said the donation would help in complementing government efforts in the fight against Covid-19. Mr Sichone also thanked people of Ghansu Province for donating medical supplies and equipment including ventilators to the province on northwest China.
