Silavwe ‘wins’ from Covid-19 break

MUKWIMA CHILALA writes FAZ Super League second-placed side NAPSA Stars midfielder Danny Silavwe says the suspension of the league games had worked to his advantage as it has greatly helped him recover from the injury suffered before the suspension of the games due to the coronavirus pandemic. And Silavwe says he was upbeat about a return to playing again with the league having resumed as he had fully recovered from injury and was ready to play having already started training. Silavwe has been an instrumental figure in Napsa’s run this season having been involved in all the games that has helped his team challenge for the title this season. The NAPSA Stars midfielder believes his team will continue with the same momentum that saw his team maintain second position on the log before the suspension of the league games. He noted that morale was high among his teammates in camp owing to the fact the team went to the break on a win after having beaten Green Eagles away in Choma. Silavwe was got injured in Napsa Stars’ Week 19 win over MufuliraWanderers played at the Heroes Stadium and says only got to recover just towards the game against Eagles before the suspension of the games.  Napsa are currently third on the Super League table with 45 points and are point less than leaders Forest Rangers who have played a game less. The Pensioners first games once the league resumes will be against Forest Rangers on August 1 at home and will later play log leaders Forest Rangers away in Ndola five days later before hosting Kabwe Warriors in Lusaka.
