SENSATIONAL WIN: …ZANACO football club punish Lumwana as Warriors hold Power Dynamos
By MICHAEL MIYOBA  A Double brace from Moses Phiri and Abraham Siankombo propelled “Sensational” ZANACO FC to second on the MTN/FAZ Super Division log after humiliating struggling Lumwana Radiants 4-0 in a Week-11 fixture played yesterday at Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka. Phiri broke the deadlock in the 21st minute before completing his brace a minute before halftime after benefiting from John Mwewa’s assist. The “Bankers” ran riot in the second half after coach Chris Kaunda introduced Boyd Musonda for Lassa Kiala while Abraham Siankombo replaced Ernest Mbewe. The young Siankombo made an immediate impact scoring his second goal of the season after benefiting from Moses Phiri’s pass in the 62nd minute. Siankombo completed his brace in the 89th minute when the Lumwana Radiants goal keeper blocked Rodger Kola’s goal bound shot which was easily tapped in for ZANACO’s fourth goal. The win propelled the Bankers to 18-points, on par with Buildcon who dropped to third because ZANACO have a better goal difference. The Chris Kaunda tutored boys are one point behind the league leaders ZESCO United who are on 19-points. Meanwhile the defeat pilled more pressure on Lumwana Radiants coach Tenant Chembo who is yet to win a game at Lumwana since he dumped Mufulira Wanderers to join Radiants. The lose was Lumwana Radiants’ third consecutive defeat since Chembo switched camp three weeks ago.  At Arthur Davies Stadium in Kitwe, Striker Alex Ngonga rescued Power Dynamos from recording a home loss after drawing 1-1 with Kabwe Warriors in a tightly contested fixture. Mathews Nkowani had given Warriors a first half lead which was canceled by Ngonga in the 59th minute as the two sides shared the spoils. It is a second consecutive draw for Power Dynamos who recorded a 2-2 draw with NAPSA Stars in their last game.
