SATE TO REVIEW, REFINE COMPREHENSIVE SEXUALITY EDUCATION
By JOHN KOMBE                                                          Government will review and refine the comprehensive sexuality education content and is currently receiving submissions from various stakeholders in all the 10 provinces, Ministry of General Education Permanent secretary-technical services, Jobbicks Sikaluma has said. Dr. Kalumba confirmed the development when the technical committee on the review of the comprehensive sexuality education content paid a courtesy call on Chongwe district commissioner, Robster Mwanza at his office. He who is also the chairperson of the steering committee disclosed that the curriculum was approved in 2013 and its implementation started in 2014. Dr Kalumba however pointed out that during the seven years of its implementation a number of stakeholders had raised concerns and noted that it was for this reason that the government set up the technical committee to review and refine the curriculum. He emphasised that the technical committee could not state the weaknesses and strengths of the content as it was still listening to the views of the people for consideration.  Meanwhile, Chongwe district commissioner, Robster Mwanza thanked the government for engaging the citizens on such a pertinent matter.
