REMAIN UNITED, NDC MEMBERS TOLD
By STEPHEN MWEWA THE National Democratic Congress (NDC) has called on members not to despair following the recent departure of its president, Mr Chishimba Kambwili from the party to the ruling PF. Northern Province chairperson, Harry Silwimba, said the party was still intact and that so far there had not been any defections to the PF. Mr Silwimba said the NDC would field candidates on its own for the August 12 general elections in all constituencies. He was flanked by provincial youth chairperson, Nathan Mutale, and provincial chairlady Shila Mutale. Mr Silwimba called on members to remain united and not to be swayed by some social media reports that NDC was no longer in existence. The three leaders said the party would remain strong and unshaken under the new president, Ms Saboi Imboela.
