REJECT ‘ UNCHRISTIAN’ POLITICAL LEADERS -EYA CHIEF
DO not vote for political leaders who do not uphold the country’s Christian identity and are in cohorts with false prophets, the Evangelical Youth Alliance (EYA) has said. EYA president, Moses Lungu, said Zambians should be wary of political leaders that could sell the country’s Christian identity because of their insatiable appetite for power. Reverend Lungu said a political party leader was on record as having shunned all the national prayers that have so far been held to seek God’s intervention in the affairs of the country. He said in an interview that Zambians should ensure that they vote for a leader who believes in Christianity and upholds the country’s Christian identity and not those in cohorts with false prophets.“Zambia is a Christian nation and as Zambians, we should make sure that we vote for a leader who upholds our Christian identity because the devil is at play,” he said.Rev Lungu said Zambians should not take lightly political leaders who were contemptuous on matters of faith. He said there had been a number of serious speculations about a political party leader regarding his faith which he has never bothered to justify and Zambians should not take such beliefs lightly.“Some political party leaders have continued to disregard the recognition of the fact that Zambia is a Christian nation, they have openly told Zambians to remove the declaration of Zambia as a Christian nation, these we should guard against,” Chief Mpepo said.
