Police suspends k750 covid-19 fine
TROY MUKUPA writes INSPECTOR General of Police Kakoma Kanganja has with immediate effect directed the suspension of the K750 fine and arresting of members of the public disregarding Covid-19 preventive measures such as wearing of masks. Speaking in an interview after the launch of the point of sale machines by Zambia police service in partnership with ZANACO Bank at Lilayi Police Training College, Mr Kanganja said it had come to his attention that some officers who were deployed on the streets to enforce Covid19 rules had been abusing the provision. Mr Kanganja said the suspension of the fine did not mean people should throw away their mask but to continue with all covid-19 health guidelines. He said the Zambia police service would continue sensitizing people on Covid-19 pandemic. The Sun
