17 GRADE nine pupils of Bruneli Basic school of Kapiri Mposhi District are battling for their lives at Bruneli clinic after drinking suspected poisonous Munkoyo drink.Central Province Police Commissioner, Chola Katanga confirmed to ZANIS in Kabwe today that the 17 pupils took the beverage after writing their final external examination paper on Monday.Mr Katanga explained that the matter was reported by Emma Muchaya, a teacher from the same school that the Munkoyo was brewed by their fellow pupil who was also writing the same examinations and that the affected pupils rent houses from her parents.The Central Province Police Chief added that the pupils started drinking after writing the Art and design examination paper but started feeling sick around 22:00 hours last night.He added that two of them are in a critical condition while the rest are stable and receiving treatment at the clinic.
