PF GOVERNMENT SHOULD CONTINUE – CHIRF CHINYAKU
By SIMON MUNTEMBATHE current government has performed extremely well and there is need to give them another mandate because change of government would just derail the country’s developmental trajectory, Chief Chinyaku of the Ngoni people has said.Chief Chinyaku said there was no need to change Government that has delivered development. He said in an interview that political parties have different ideologies and every time a new political party takes over power, it reverses most of the good initiatives by the previous regime.“Even in a football match, you don’t substitute a scoring player. For me, the PF has performed extremely well and it will be taking the country 10 steps backwards to vote for an opposition political party in the August 12 general elections,” Chief Chinyaku said.He described President Edgar Lungu as a visionary leader who is working hard to improve the welfare of Zambians. The traditional leader explained that he was happy with the PF government not because President Lungu hails from the Eastern Province but because he had performed to their expectations. He said it was under President Lungu’s regime, that his chiefdom had seen massive development such as construction of health posts, schools and provision of safe clean drinking water.Chief Chinyaku also commended President Lungu for exhibiting positive leadership aimed at preserving peace and unity in the country.“President Lungu deserves another chance because he has transformed our lives in rural areas especially us farmers through the early distribution of farming inputs,” he said.
