PF DISPELS UPND PROPAGANDA
By ROGERS KALERO UPND leaders should desist from throwing tantrums at the Patriotic Front (PF) but instead find a way of getting rid of the tribalism tag which the political party has been associated with for long a long time, PF Copperbelt provincial chairman Bernard Zulu has said. Mr Zulu said the UPND leadership must exhibit wisdom instead of throwing tantrums at the PF and President Edgar Lungu. He was reacting to media reports in which UPND Copperbelt chairman Elisha Matambo accused PF cadres of defacing Hakainde Hichilema’s bill boards in the Central Business District (CBD) in Kitwe. Mr Zulu said the UPND must take an introspection of what kind of political party it was and then clean up the tribal tag. “Instead of Mr Matambo condemning his violent and tribal party, he wants to attack PF so that he is heard by his party President Hakainde Hichilema. UPND must concentrate on getting rid of its tribal tag which is now being worsened by violence,’’ Mr Zulu said. He said the PF would always embrace peace, unity and harmony because it believed in “One Zambia, One Nation” motto, which was coined by First Republican President Kenneth Kaunda. He cautioned Zambians to reject politicians who wanted to divide the nation through hate-speech, propaganda and falsehoods. Mr Zulu said some opposition politicians were misleading the nation that they had solutions to the economic challenges when they had failed to find solutions to the challenges which their companies were going through. Mr Zulu advised the PF structures at various levels not to go to sleep, but to ensure that they diffuse any lies and propaganda being peddled by the UPND.
