‘NO REGRETS’ – Mwenya Chipepo says Indeni will survive
By MICHAEL MIYOBA SUSPENDED Indeni FC head coach Mwenya Chipepo says he does not regret leaving Prison Leopards for relagation threatened Indeni FC. Chipepo who has been suspended by FAZ for criticising referees in the MTN Super League said Indeni will not be relegated despite him not being allowed to be on the bench in the final league game against Kabwe Warriors. Chipepo said Indeni will treat the last Super League game against Kabwe Warriors like a cup final to collect maximum three points which will guarantee the team’s survival. “Our objective is to make sure that we remain in the Premier League and Sunday’s game is going to be like a cup final and we are playing Kabwe Warriors away which won’t be easy. “Kabwe Warriors is a big team they have experienced players but Indeni is also a very good team with stubborn players, very skillful. We don’t want to disappoint our sponsors so we are going to make sure that we pick maximum three points in Kabwe,” Chipepo said. “I don’t have any regrets. As a man you have to take challenges that’s how you grow. I can’t grow if I’m comfortable so the more stiff competition the more I grow as a coach.” The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) suspended Chipepo indefinitely on June 20 for his unsavoury comments in the aftermath of his side’s June 13, 2021 league clash against Forest Rangers which ended 0-0. Chipepo said his absence on the bench in the team’s crucial final game against Warriors will not be affected because he has a good working relationship with his assistants who are capable of ensuring victory in Kabwe.
