MUSENGE BLASTS M’MEMBE
…HIS OPINION ABOUT PF IS FLAWED By ADRIAN MWANZA SOCIALIST Party president Fred M’membe has received a backlash for his comments that voting for the Patriotic Front (PF) will be a very big mistake. Mr M’membe was quoted as saying that voting back PF in power would be the worst decision Zambians could ever make. But PF member Mwenya Musenge said Mr M’membe was a Zambian and that he had a right to express his opinion which was his birthright. Mr Musenge said that the Socialist Party was leaving in a fantasy world because the people of Zambia had seen what the PF had done. He challenged Mr M’membe to come back to reality because his insinuations were unfounded and unfair Government, he said, had gone flat out to ensure that Zambians’ livelihoods were improved. “I respect the Socialist Party leader’s opinion but surely I feel he is living in a dream or fantasy and he needs to come back to reality and see what the PF had done for Zambia,’’ he said. Mr Musenge said that the PF had delivered in many areas like the delivering of social cash transfer which in the past was only in Southern Province but was now rolled out in all the provinces. He said that the PF had delivered a number of development projects as compared to other regimes in the past which failed to give Zambians a reasonable number of amenities like schools and hospitals. Mr Musenge challenged Mr M’membe to be magnanimous and give credit where it was due because the PF had done its best.
