By Mulenga Musonda The Patriotic Front Party in Southern Province has continued to penetrate the United Party for National Development stronghold with myriad defections, the latest being the endorsement of President Edgar Lungu and his party by widows of veteran politician late Daniel Munkombwe and past Choma MP George Chazangwe. Anne Munkombwe, widow to the late former minister of Southern province in endorsing President Edgar Lungu and Choma Central PF candidate Kenneth Moola in Batoka Ward of Choma Central Constituency appealed to women to vote for PF. “Don’t be cheated, for 10 years you have been voting for the same person who has been cheating you, Wake up! We the women are the majority; let’s vote for President Lungu and Kenneth Moola to see development,” she said. “The problem is not the government, the problem is the people you choose to represent you, vote for people who will bring development, ” Ms Munkombwe said. And former Choma United Democratic Alliance past MP’s widow Agnes Chazangwe who also endorsed the ruling party said it will be easier to lobby for women empowerment and developmental projects if an elected member of parliament is coming from the ruling party.
