M’MEMBE BLASTED FOR DISPARAGING VEEP
By NATION REPORTER IT is cheap politicking for Fred M’membe to demand that vice President Inonge Wina accounts for her time in office on the pretext that Western province where she hails from has remained underdeveloped, a PF official Lemmy Bwalya has said. Mr Bwalya said Ms Wina was a vice President for the whole country and that her focus was to develop Zambia without leaving any area behind. He said no area including Western province had been left behind on PF’s development agenda. Mr Bwalya urged M’membe to instead explain the Zambia Airways privatization and the loan of US$5.5 million which was procured from Development Bank of Zambia (DBZ). He said there was no way Mr M’membe would campaign across the country without explaining tax evasion matters involving the Post Newspaper in liquidation. Mr Bwalya said Mr M’membe owed Zambians a lot of explanations and that it was unreasonable for him to champion non-issues. He said claims by Mr M’membe that Western province was not developed were baseless and a sign that he had runout of a campaign messages. Mr Bwalya added that it was cheap politicking for Mr M’membe to demand that Ms Wina accounts for her time in office over baseless propaganda.
