MAYUKA EYES GOLDEN BOOT
By MICHAEL MIYOBAEMMANUEL Mayuka, the 2012 Africa Cup winner says his aim is to work hard and score more goals to challenge for the MTN/FAZ Super Division top scorer’s award and help NAPSA Stars FC win more games.Mayuka said NAPSA has a lot of work to do to move away from the relegation zone of the MTN/FAZ Super Division table.Speaking after scoring in NAPSA’s first win of the season when they beat Green Buffaloes 1-0 in a Lusaka Derby at Woodlands Stadium on Saturday, Muyuka hailed his family at home and at NAPSA for helping him to rediscover his form.Mayuka said he is taking it one step at a time with his teammates to help the club get back to winning ways in the league at a time,” Mayuka said. The 2012 Golden Boot winner who played for Kabwe Warriors before going to Europe where he featured for Young Boys and Southhampton in the English Premier League said the Zambian league has developed into a tough league with a lot of teams challenging for the league title. He however noted that his aim is to work hard and keep on scoring to help NAPSA achieve the set objectives.“My aim is to keep on scoring. Every striker targets to be a top scorer so that is what I’m targeting as well but it will not only take me but the whole team to push me,” he said.Mayuka has so far scored three goals in all competitions for NAPSA having scored two goals in the CAF Confederation Cup and one goal in the Super Division.
