It is alleged that, on September 19, 2021 around 20:30, Steven Mwenye the security supervisor was patrolling in the Showgrounds and found the suspect climbing the wall fence and after he entered inside he was seen tempering with the solar panels and immediately he saw the guard he started running away. He chased him and     apprehended  him and took  to Manda Hill police station. Police took up the matter and interviewed the suspect who admitted that he had been only picking scrap metal nothing else.  However, Phiri pleaded for leniency that the court should give him a second chance as he was the bread winner of the family and that he was a widower. ‘’I am the mother and father of the family, I have two children and my wife is late so there will be no one to take care and feed my children,” he said in a calm voice. The court heard his cry and gave him a suspended sentence of three months
