LUNGU IS A HARDWORKING, COOPERATIVE NEIGHBOR – MASISI

President Masisi described President Lungu as a cooperative and good neighbor who is determined to see the lives of Zambians improved through infrastructure development. Dr Masisi said it was due to the cooperation and good leadership of President Lungu that the joint Kazungula Bridge was successfully completed. Speaking during the commissioning ceremony for the Kazungula Bridge , Dr Masisi said completion of the project was as a result of the excellent bilateral relations between his country and Zambia under President Lungu. “It is a great pleasure to be here with you my dear brother, a hardworking, wonderful and cooperative neighbor, President Edgar Lungu,” Dr Masisi said. Dr Masisi said the bridge would provide business opportunities for the young people. Meanwhile, SADC executive secretary, Stergomena Tax said the bridge would improve reginal connectivity and time of doing business. Dr Tax said it would also improve regional trade and create employment for Zambia and Botswana citizens. She advised the SADC member States to emulate Zambia and Botswana by expediting works on the bridges they were building or start such kind of projects. President of Zimbabwe Emerson Mnangagwa said the project was a milestone achievement in the SADC region. Mr Mnangagwa who congratulated both the Zambian and Botswana governments for successfully completing the project said the completion was timely as it would ease transportation of goods among countries
