A 17 -YEAR-OLD-BOY of Sikalele village in Chief Simwatachela area’s in Southern province has been struck to death leaving four of his relatives nursing serious burns in Siamafumba clinic.Area member of parliament, Clive Miyanda confirmed the incident to Zanis in Kalomo saying the deceased is a son to Costane Siamandingwa adding that the grass thatched house the four family members were in was struck by lightning around 15:00 hours over the weekend on Saturday.The body of the deceased has since been buried while the trio are still nursing burns in Siamafiumba clinic.Meanwhile the Mapatizya parliamentarian has called on Government to put up a police post in the constituency to avert a high crime rate in the area citing murder cases and stock theft ranking high on the list of people who are found to be in conflict with the law.Mr, Miyanda has also called for the thorough de-mining of landmines in the area saying the explosive devices which had been left in the bush thickest are still posing a threat to people who normally search for the devices in an attempt to extract Mercury believed to be inside the landmines.Mr. Miyanda was speaking in an interview the burial of Kalomo district commissioner, Brenda Mwenda’s sister, Mary Munashabantu in Luyaba area yesterday. – ZANIS
