THE Patriotic Front (PF) in Southern Province has commended and supported the appointment of Edwin Lifwekelo as the party’s deputy media director.
Information and Publicity Secretary Trymore Mwenda has noted that the appointment of Mr Lifwekelo is appropriate and the job fits his character.
In a statement issued to the Daily Nation, Mr Mwenda said that Mr Lifwekelo is not a stranger to the ruling party and knows what to do.
“Edwin Lifwekelo is no stranger to the PF hence his appointment as PF deputy media director brings him into familiar territory,” he said.
He said Mr Lifwekelo was the first secretary general of the PF in 2001 when the party was formed.
“He is a seasoned politician and well grounded to ably execute his role as Deputy Media Director especially at a critical time like this when the country is holding a general election,” Mr Mwenda said.
“We commend His Excellency President Edgar Chagwa Lungu through the Party’s Secretary General Hon. Davis Mwila on Mr. Lifwekelo’s appointment,” he said .
