Warriors’ confirmed in a statement that FAZ issued them with the Licensing Certificate for having complied with the Sporting, Infrastructure, Administrative, Legal and Financial Criterial of CAF Club licensing regulations. The approval from FAZ ends speculations that the Kabwe-based MTN Super League outfit may lose its Confederations Cup spot to Green Eagles who have a pending case with the FAZ disciplinary committee over a dispute with Young Green Eagles who are accused to have used an ineligible player when the two sides faced off in a league fixture. The “Magnificent” people’s team qualified for continental football following a fruitful season which saw the team finish fourth in the 2020/21 MTN Super League. Meanwhile, Red Arrows attacking midfielder, Bruce Musakanya and Green Eagles’ Lazarous Phiri have returned to their clubs after winning the league with Zesco United. The Zambian champions confirmed on their website that Musakanya and Phiri who had penned one-year-loan moves with league champions left at the end of the 2020/21 FAZ/MTN Super League season. Musakanya leaves Ndola having bagged a second career league title on the road with Zesco United after winning his first with Nkana in 2013 while Phiri returns to Green Eagles after securing his first career league title with the Ndola giants.
