LUCY PHIRI writes AN 18-YEAR-OLD boy of Kafue has been dragged to court for beating and assaulting his aunt on the eye using his forehead. This is a matter before magistrate Moffat Phiri in which a Juvenile of Zambian compound was accused of assaulting his aunt on the eye hence causing bodily harm. Facts before court are that Joseph Muzumala of Kafue district was charged with one count of assault after he assaulted Vidah Muzumala on the eye. On May 6 around 21:30 hours Joseph and Esther, another aunt, had a misunderstanding and Vidah tried to settle the dispute that’s how she was beaten and hit on the eye using forehead and she sustained an injured eye. Magistrate: Did you assault her? Juvenile: Yes I did Magistrate: Did she allow you? Juvenile: No. But the situation allowed me to do so, I was alone and they were three and started dragging me and pouring water on me.
