By NATION REPORTER THIS is time to embrace peace and unity as a party so that we emerge victorious in the August 12 general elections, Eastern Province for Edgar Lungu and Development Foundation chairperson Emmanuel Jay Banda has said. Mr Banda popularly known as ‘Jay Jay’ who is also PF Petauke Central aspiring candidate advised the party structures who are supporting different aspiring candidates to avoid fighting because they are one family. He said this in Lumezi constituency when he addressed two camps that support Lumezi Member of Parliament Pilila Jere and aspiring candidate Munir Zulu. Mr Banda said PF members must always endeavor to work together to grow the party ahead of August 12 elections. Mr Banda who told the leaders of the two camps to hug said President Edgar Lungu wants to see a united PF going into 2021 and beyond. “Be neutral and work together. Whichever candidate the central committee will adopt, you must all support because you all belong to PF and share common interests,” Mr Banda said. He also urged the members in the province to respect one another and embrace those joining the PF from other parties. He said respect for each other is what will take the PF through to the 2021 general elections.
